KLBJ-FM's remote broadcast of an entire day's programming raised funds for Give Kids the World, a charitable organization that benefits children with life-threatening illnesses. Jeff Gish and Peggy Simmons collected a lot of donations from KLBJ-FM listeners. Storyville and George Devore and The Roam were among the Austin-based musical performers who donated their time and talent for a good cause.
