GREEZY WHEELS AND SWEET MARY
RETURN TO WHERE IT ALL STARTED

After more than thirty years of making music, dem ol' Greezy Wheels will perform for the first time ever at the original Threadgill's on North Lamar Blvd. in Austin. As regulars at the Armadillo World Headquarters and Threadgill's World Headquarters south of the river, Greezy Wheels are no strangers to AWHQ and Threadgill's, or to owner Eddie Wilson, but they have never "greezed" the original No. 1 north Threadgill's location. Fiddle player Sweet Mary Hattersley used to sit in with the legendary Kenneth Threadgill himself in the old Gulf gasoline station at 6416 North Lamar Blvd, which is where she was discovered by future husband Cleve Hattersley and the rest of Greezy Wheels in the early 1970's. In celebration of glorious pasts, there will be no cover charge this Friday night, May 9 at 9:00pm as Greezy Wheels, with Sweet Mary, take the stage at the original Threadgill's.
